Consulting

I partner with organizations to translate research and evaluation into meaningful, actionable insights. I draw on human-centered, mixed-methods inquiry to examine how learning environments, support programs, organizational discourse, and policy contexts shape identity, engagement, and outcomes—and how those insights can be used to support more effective and equitable practice.

My approach to consulting is shaped by my work as a scholar–practitioner and by lived experience navigating complex systems. I attend to positionality, relationships, and context, recognizing how experiences are shaped through interaction, sense-making, and organizational structures. I apply rigorous, reflexive methods to support clear, actionable recommendations.

I partner with audiences across education, child welfare, advocacy, nonprofit and leadership teams, and youth with lived experience in foster care.

Research-informed consulting grounded in lived experience.

Ways I Partner With Organizations

I partner with organizations in flexible, collaborative ways that respond to context, goals, and learning needs, including:

  • Learning and program evaluation – Designing and analyzing evaluations that assess impact, engagement, and learning outcomes

  • Advisory and thought partnership – Supporting leaders and teams in making sense of complex data, systems, and stakeholder experiences

  • Workshops, keynotes, and facilitated sessions – Engaging system leaders, practitioners, and youth in reflective, evidence-informed dialogue around identity, belonging, learning, and systems change, including lived experience-informed keynotes and youth-centered facilitation within foster care and education contexts

  • Research-informed design support – Applying human-centered approaches to program development, improvement, and strategy

Angela brings professionalism, foresight, and deep knowledge of professional learning and evaluation to her work. During a period of significant uncertainty and change, she helped our team navigate complex planning decisions with care, clarity, and rigor. Her ability to think through details while keeping people and purpose at the center was instrumental to the Institute’s success.

— Co-Chair, Student Affairs Assessment Institute

I welcome collaboration with organizations seeking thoughtful, human-centered approaches to research, evaluation, learning, and program design.
